Reimagining businesses for the future Bhubaneswar

A brainstorming session on “Reimagining businesses for the future @2047” as part of India’s Youth 20 initiative, which was arranged by the Yi Bhubaneswar Chapter in partnership with the Department of Youth Affairs. Mr. Raghav Khandelwal, Chief Operating Officer, E Square System & Technologies Pvt. Ltd., was the speaker at the event, which attracted over 100 young professionals, business owners, and thinkers. In his opening remarks he talked about the CII Yi Bhubaneswar Chapter, the importance of India’s G20 presidency and briefed the participants about the Youth 20 engagement group. He stressed that due to the large number of young Indians joining the workforce, Odisha is currently experiencing a remarkable period. The ability to envision our future is now necessary, and it can only be developed when we recognize its significance and collaborate to generate ideas. With new and intriguing ideas constantly emerging, Odisha’s startup ecosystem is expanding daily. We see numerous rounds of discussions and funding events for startups in Odisha, so it is obvious that various new startups and entrepreneurs are emerging. Panelists addressed the new issues and put forth a number of solutions pertaining to the topics covered. The following are the main discussion topics.

• Explains the purpose of G20 and its role in policy advocacy.
• Numerous rounds of discussions and funding events for startups in Odisha is seen, so it is obvious that various new startups and entrepreneurs are emerging.
• Startups in Odisha received investments totaling Rs. 100 crore in FY 2022–2023; angel investors’ and venture capitalists’ total investments in the state now stand at Rs. 359 crore.
• It was observed that many young people from towns and small villages were developing concepts and making pitches.
• We should make investments in education, but this doesn’t mean building mills for education in the service of failing public education.
• The enviable number of advisors, startup incubators, and startup policies in Odisha greatly aid in the development of the Odisha Startup Ecosystem.
