Rain Likely in Odisha on December 24-25, Fog to Follow
Bhubaneswar: Odisha is likely to witness rainfall again on December 24 and 25 due to a well-marked low-pressure area active over the west-central Bay of Bengal, according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).
Dr. Umashankar Das, a senior meteorologist, reported that light to moderate rain is expected across various coastal districts during this period. Cloudy skies and dense fog are also forecast, potentially disrupting daily life.
Odisha recently experienced two days of continuous rain last Friday and Saturday, resulting in thousands of hectares of farmland being submerged. Farmers have expressed concern that the upcoming rain could damage paddy crops, which are beginning to sprout in certain areas.
Following the recent rainfall, winter conditions have intensified across the state, with nighttime temperatures slightly dropping.
