Prez Transfers 2 Judges to Orissa HC

New Delhi/Cuttack: The President of India, Ram Nath Kovind today transferred 15 Judges of different high courts across the country. In exercise of the power conferred by Clause (1) of Article 222 of the Constitution of India, the President after consultation with the Chief Justice of India transferred the Judges of the high courts.
Justice Jaswant Singh was transferred to the Orissa High Court from Punjab and Haryana High Court. Similarly, Justice Arindam Sinha was transferred to the Orissa High Court from the Calcutta High Court.
The President directed the Judges to assume charge of their office in the Orissa High Court. Justice Sanjaya Kumar Mishra, who is presently a Judge at the Orissa High Court, was transferred to the Uttarakhand High Court.
