President Murmu’s Mayurbhanj Visit Rescheduled to November 4–5 Amid Cyclone Threat

Bhubaneswar: President Droupadi Murmu’s scheduled two-day visit to her home district of Mayurbhanj has been postponed due to the likelihood of a cyclonic storm developing over the Bay of Bengal and its potential impact on Odisha.

The President was earlier scheduled to visit Rairangpur on October 28 and 29. According to officials, the programme has been rescheduled to November 4 and 5 in view of the anticipated adverse weather conditions. The visit has been postponed, not cancelled.

During her two-day tour, President Murmu is scheduled to visit Rairangpur, Maa Kichakeswari Temple at Bahalda and Gorumahisani, besides attending other programmes in her native region.

The revised schedule has been announced by the Mayurbhanj district administration, with arrangements to be made accordingly.
