Pradeep Jena Wins Bhubaneswar Club Presidential Election

Bhubaneswar: Pradeep Jena has won the high-profile Bhubaneswar Club elections, securing the post of President by defeating former Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy.
The contest drew widespread attention as it was a rare face-off between two former Chief Secretaries of Odisha. While Tripathy was seeking a hat-trick of wins, Jena, contesting the election for the first time, managed to secure a decisive victory.

The Bhubaneswar Club, established in 1949, is regarded as one of the city’s most prestigious institutions, and its presidential polls are often viewed as a contest of influence and stature among Odisha’s elite.
This year’s election was historic as the process was held over two days, with e-voting introduced for the first time on Saturday, followed by offline polling on Sunday.
The outcome has created a buzz in political and bureaucratic circles, as Jena’s win is seen as a shift from continuity to change, reflecting his campaign theme “Vote for Change.”
