Police Bust Illegal Gun Factory, Arrest Two in Gajapati

Bhubaneswar: In a major crackdown, police have unearthed an illegal gun manufacturing operation in Galapaju village under Mohan police limits in Gajapati district.
A joint team from Mohana and Adaba police stations conducted the raid, arresting two individuals, Ghanashyam Pradhan and Harischandra Mallik, who were reportedly involved in producing and selling illegal firearms.

According to Gajapati SP Jatindra Kumar Panda, police seized 12 guns, along with various accessories and equipment used in manufacturing. The firearms were reportedly being supplied to Gajapati, Ganjam, and Kandhamal districts. Pradhan was allegedly operating the factory from a hill on the outskirts of the village.
Police recovered 10 guns from the factory site and 2 guns from Harischandra Mallik. Both accused have been forwarded to court after a seizure list was prepared in the presence of witnesses.
