PM Modi to Visit Odisha Tomorrow, Launch ₹1,700 Cr Projects

Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Odisha on September 27, marking his sixth visit to the state in the last 15 months. During the visit, the Prime Minister will inaugurate several key development projects across multiple sectors, including railways, telecommunications, healthcare, and education.
At a special event in Jharsuguda, PM Modi will flag off the Amrit Bharat Express and unveil railway projects worth ₹1,700 crore. He will also launch BSNL’s indigenously developed ‘Swadeshi’ 4G stack, strengthening the government’s push for self-reliance in telecom technology.

The Prime Minister will further announce the expansion of eight Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and grant super-speciality status to MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur and VIMSAR in Sambalpur. Additionally, he will launch a national skill development program and extend financial assistance to 50,000 beneficiaries under the Antyodaya scheme.
Despite forecasts of thunderstorms and gusty winds in Jharsuguda, preparations for the event are in full swing. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and senior officials have reviewed the arrangements and directed authorities to ensure all safety and logistical measures are in place for the Prime Minister’s visit.
