Pari Row: Naveen Orders SIT Probe

Bhubaneswar (Reporters Today Bureau): Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today ordered an SIT probe into the alleged abduction and murder of a five-year-old girl of Jadupur village in Nayagarh.

Attending the Winter Session of the Odisha Assembly virtually through video conference, Naveen today gave the order for a probe by Special Investigating Team (SIT) into the alleged minor girl’s murder case.

“My Government is always committed for free and fair investigation. I am deeply saddened by the incident and my Government always stand for the rule of law,” said Naveen requesting all the members of the House to cooperate by participating in the discussion.

As the ruckus continued, Speaker Surjya Narayan Patro called for an all-party meeting to restore normalcy in the House. Later, he adjourned the House till 3 PM today.
