Over 20 Girl Students Fall Ill During School Prayer in Balasore

Balasore: More than 20 female students of Nigamananda Smruti Bidyapitha in Bahanaga block of Balasore district suddenly fell ill during the school’s morning prayer on Wednesday, triggering panic among staff and students.

According to reports, the students began collapsing one after another, with many complaining of chest pain and dizziness. Teachers rushed to provide first aid and immediately shifted the affected students to Gopalpur Community Health Centre (CHC).

As several students remained in critical condition, they were later referred to the Balasore District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) for further treatment.

Prompt action by school authorities and medical personnel ensured the students received urgent medical care. Meanwhile, health officials have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the sudden mass illness.
