One Killed, Two Critically Injured as Thar Hits Bike in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: One person was killed and two others sustained critical injuries after a Thar SUV rammed into the motorcycle they were riding near Capital Hospital Square here on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Raja Pedini of the Old Town area. According to preliminary reports, Pedini died on the spot after being crushed under the wheels of the Thar following the collision.

The two injured persons were rushed to Capital Hospital, where one is undergoing treatment. The condition of the other victim reportedly worsened, following which he was shifted to AIIMS, Bhubaneswar, for advanced medical care.

Police have seized both the Thar vehicle and the motorcycle involved in the accident. CCTV footage from the area is being examined as part of the investigation to identify and trace the driver of the SUV. Further probe into the incident is underway.
