Odisha Wins National Award for Best Wildlife Conservation Effort at IITM Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Odisha has been honoured with the “Best Wildlife Conservation Effort in India” award at the three-day India International Travel Mart (IITM) held in Hyderabad. The award recognises the State’s outstanding initiatives in protecting wildlife habitats, conserving endangered species, and promoting sustainable tourism in ecologically sensitive areas.
The national travel exhibition, inaugurated at the HITEX Exhibition Centre, brought together more than 200 exhibitors from India and overseas, showcasing a wide array of tourism offerings.

Odisha had 11 co-exhibitors participating in the event. The Odisha Tourism pavilion emerged as a major attraction, featuring immersive displays on eco-retreats, nature trails, heritage circuits, and adventure tourism opportunities across the State.
During the event, the Odisha delegation also held discussions with travel industry stakeholders, tour operators, and international representatives to strengthen partnerships and explore new avenues for tourism promotion.
