Odisha Vigilance Conducts Simultaneous Raids on Forester in DA Case in Kalahandi

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance on Thursday launched simultaneous searches at three locations in Kalahandi district in connection with allegations of possession of disproportionate assets against Bhagbat Bhusan Behera, a Forester under the Bhawanipatna Forest Range.

According to official sources, the searches are being carried out at Behera’s triple-storeyed residential building located in Hill Town area of Bhawanipatna, his brother’s house at Deundi village under Junagarh police station limits, and his office chamber at the Bhatangpadar Forest Section.

A vigilance team comprising four Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), seven Inspectors, four Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs), and other supporting staff is conducting the operation.

The searches are currently underway, and further details regarding the assets detected, if any, are awaited.
