Odisha Speaker Calls All-Party Meet Ahead of Winter Session

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Assembly Speaker Surama Padhy has convened an all-party meeting on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, to ensure the smooth conduct of the upcoming winter session of the State Assembly.

The winter session is scheduled to begin on Thursday, November 27, and will continue until December 31. The Speaker will meet leaders of all political parties to discuss maintaining decorum and facilitating constructive debates throughout the session.

According to the provisional calendar released on November 10, the fifth session of the seventh Assembly will include 19 days of Official Business and five days of Private Members’ Business, covering Bills and Resolutions.

President Droupadi Murmu is expected to address the House on the opening day.

The all-party meeting comes ahead of important legislative discussions and aims to create a cooperative atmosphere in the Assembly.
