Odisha Police Secures Runner-Up Position at All India Police Shooting Competition

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Police delivered an outstanding performance at the 26th All India Police Shooting Competition (AIPDM), securing the second position among police forces across the country. The prestigious event was held at the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) facility in Gurugram, Haryana, from March 22 to 30.
Showcasing exceptional marksmanship, the Odisha Police team amassed a total of 1,601 points. The team scored 743 points in Rifle Shooting, 531 points in Pistol Shooting, and 327 points in Carbine Shooting, earning the runner-up position overall.
In an individual feat, Akshay Kumar Sahani (S/131), currently posted at SSBN, Bhubaneswar, clinched a silver medal by securing second place in the 300 yards Snap category.
Director General of Police Yogesh Bahadur Khurania congratulated the team for their remarkable achievement. He also praised the medal winner, team members, Deputy Commandant, Team Manager, and Coach M.S.A. Farid for bringing pride and recognition to the state.
