Odisha Panel Reviews Governance Reforms for Viksit Odisha 2036 & 2047

Bhubaneswar: The Administrative System and Governance Reform Committee, constituted by the Odisha Government to guide the state toward its Viksit Odisha 2036 and 2047 vision, held an extensive meeting with Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja at Lok Seva Bhawan on Thursday.

The committee, chaired by Jugal Kishore Mohapatra, along with members O.P. Agrawal and T.M. Vijay Bhaskar, discussed measures to strengthen administrative systems, improve policy execution, and accelerate governance reforms to achieve the state’s long-term development goals.

Senior officials including Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary Anu Garg, Additional Chief Secretary (Revenue & Disaster Management) Deoranjan Kumar Singh, Additional Chief Secretary (GA & PG) Surendra Kumar, and CMGI Director Vineet Bhardwaj also participated in the meeting.

The deliberations centred on enhancing efficiency in public administration, modernising governance mechanisms, and aligning departmental strategies with Odisha’s development roadmaps for 2036 and 2047.

Formed by the state government, the Administrative System and Governance Reform Committee aims to recommend structural and process-level reforms to ensure sustainable and inclusive growth, aligning with the broader Viksit Bharat vision.
