Odisha Opens Fresh Application Window for Subhadra Yojana to Boost Women’s Empowerment

Bhubaneswar: In a major step towards strengthening women’s economic empowerment and financial independence, the Odisha government has announced a fresh application window for the Subhadra Yojana, expanding its outreach across the state.
According to an official press note, eligible women who have not applied earlier can submit their applications through the Subhadra Portal from April 1 to April 30, 2026. The initiative aims to ensure that all deserving beneficiaries are covered under the scheme.

As per the guidelines, applicants must be between 21 and 60 years of age as on April 1, 2026. Selected beneficiaries will receive financial assistance of ₹10,000 annually, disbursed in two installments. The benefit will commence from the financial year 2026–27 and continue for the duration of the scheme.
Officials have clarified that this window is exclusively for fresh applicants, and those who have already applied earlier will not be eligible to reapply.
To streamline the enrollment process, the government has facilitated registration through Common Service Centres (CSCs) and Ama Seva Kendras (ASKs) across Odisha. Application forms will also be made available free of cost at all Anganwadi Centres (AWCs) and offices of the Child Development Project Officer (CDPO).
Describing the initiative as a landmark move, the state government reiterated its commitment to enhancing women’s financial security, promoting self-reliance, and ensuring wider inclusion under the scheme.
