Odisha High Court Defers IPS Officer Sushant Nath’s Bail Hearing to November 6

Cuttack, Nov 4: The Orissa High Court on Wednesday deferred the hearing on the anticipatory bail plea filed by IPS officer Sushant Nath in connection with a sexual harassment case lodged by a former woman jailer of Choudwar Jail. The matter will now come up for hearing on November 6.

The court also postponed the hearing on Nath’s petition seeking quashing of the criminal case registered against him.

Nath has approached the High Court seeking protection from arrest and relief from the criminal proceedings in the case.

Meanwhile, the court also deferred the anticipatory bail plea and case-quashing petition filed by Kuldeep Rath, who is alleged to have acted as a mediator in the incident. Both matters have been listed for hearing on December 6.
