Odisha Govt awards 11 farmers with ‘Mukhyamantri Abhinav Krishi Yantrapati Samman’

(Surjit Dhal Bhubaneswar, Feb 24): A total of 11 farmers were awarded with the State-level ‘Mukhyamantri Abhinav Krishi Yantrapati Samman’ on Sunday in recognition of their innovation done for agricultural implements.

According to officials, as many as  90 farmers, who have developed any innovative farm tools or implements were selected from 30 districts of Odisha- three farmers from each district.

The top 11 farmers were awarded with cash prize of Rs 2 lakh for first position, Rs 1.5 lakh for second position and Rs 1 lakh for third position.

While three farmers received the first prize, three others received second prize and remaining five received third prize.

More than 2000 farmers had submitted their applications under the scheme in last five months.
