Odisha Exports Largest Engineering Equipment to Bhutan

Bhubaneswar: In a historic achievement, Odisha exported its largest-ever on-road engineering equipment to Bhutan on Tuesday, marking a significant milestone in the state’s export sector. The event, held at Mancheswar, Bhubaneswar, was flagged off by Gokulananda Mallick, Minister of MSME and Fisheries & Animal Resources Development.
Speaking at the event, Mallick expressed pride in Odisha’s accomplishment under the Make-in-India initiative, stating, “This is a proud moment for Odisha. We have established our capability in manufacturing world-class engineering equipment.”
Hemant Sharma, Principal Secretary of MSME, highlighted that this initiative would boost international interest in Odisha’s MSME-manufactured engineering products. He assured that the department is committed to supporting the export of high-quality equipment and aims to achieve new milestones in the future.
The event was organized by the Utkal Chamber of Commerce and Industry Limited (UCCI) in collaboration with the Association of Industrial Entrepreneurs of Bhubaneswar (AIEBA). The equipment was manufactured by East End Technologies Private Limited, a small-scale enterprise based in Choudwar Industrial Estate, which has been operational since 2007.
The flag-off ceremony was attended by East End Technologies’ Managing Director Sandeep Patnaik, UCCI Vice President JK Rath, UCCI Secretary Sanjeev Mahapatra, AIEBA Vice President Subir Banerjee, and other prominent industrialists and dignitaries from Odisha.
