Odisha CM Reviews Upcoming Industrial Projects in Paradip

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi chaired a review meeting in Paradip today to assess the progress of upcoming large-scale industrial projects.


He directed district administration and industry officials to resolve pending issues within fixed timelines and accelerate project implementation.

The CM emphasised that Paradip will soon transform into one of the country’s largest economic zones. He advised officials to ensure immediate steps for the commencement of infrastructure and industrial projects, including Paradip Port expansion, shipbuilding and repair facilities, and IOCL and JSW-led industrial units.

The meeting also discussed the Bhubaneswar-Cuttack-Puri-Paradip Economic Region, AMNS India’s proposed projects, Paradip Petrochemical Complex, and integrated steel plants. Land acquisition, approvals, and other clearances formed part of the detailed deliberations.

Majhi instructed authorities to prioritise employment opportunities for Odisha’s youth, especially local communities, in all upcoming industries. He stressed that industrial growth must directly benefit the people of the region.

Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain, Jagatsinghpur MLA Amarendra Das, Additional Chief Secretary Hemant Sharma, Jagatsinghpur Collector J Sonal, Paradip Port Trust officials, and representatives from IOCL, JSW, and AMNS India attended the meeting.
