Odisha CM flags off ‘Vikas Vahan’

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday flagged off the ‘Vikas Vahan’ to bring development schemes to the people across the State. The Vikas Vahans will travel from Panchayat to Panchayat conveying the success stories of the development schemes of the government.
The Chief Minister has launched the state-level Vikas Vahan program, which will make the government’s developmental schemes to reach the people and create awareness.
On this occasion, the specially branded vans will cover 314 blocks, 115 ULBs and 5 municipal corporations of Odisha.
The state government has taken up this program with the aim of good governance, such as reaching out to the unreached and disseminating information and creating awareness among the citizens about the various welfare schemes and programs of the government.
On this occasion the Chief Minister highlighted some of the major achievements and initiatives of the government such as ‘Vikashit Gaon Vikashit Odisha’, ‘Subhadra Yojana’, ‘Antodaya Gruha Yojana’, tribal and SC welfare, skill development for youth and promotion of various sports, subsidies for agriculture, National Health Programme NITI-2020, Godabarisha Mishra Adarsh Vidyalaya Yojana, Sishu Vatika programme. These benefits will be conveyed to the people through the scheme.
The Vikas Vahan Yatra is a 10-day program that will run from June 12 to June 21, covering all 6,794 Gram Panchayat headquarters and urban local bodies across 314 blocks in Odisha.
The initiative aims to reach out to eligible citizens who have yet to benefit from various welfare schemes, raise awareness about flagship programs, and gather feedback by engaging directly with beneficiaries.
