Odisha Appoints K. Murugesan as PCCF and Head of Forest Force

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has appointed senior Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer K. Murugesan as the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) and Head of Forest Force (HoFF), Odisha.

As per a notification issued by the General Administration & Public Grievances Department, Murugesan, a 1994-batch IFS officer, has been elevated to the post in the Apex Scale (Level-17 of the Pay Matrix). The appointment has been made under the provisions of Note-2 of Rule 3(2) of the IFS (Pay) Rules, 2016.

The notification stated that the appointment was carried out with the approval of the Governor of Odisha.

With decades of experience in forest administration and field operations, Murugesan is expected to lead the state’s forest department in areas such as conservation, wildlife protection, and sustainable forest management.
