Odia Film ‘Puskara’ Wins Best Odia Feature at 71st National Film Awards

Bhubaneswar: The winners of the 71st National Film Awards were announced on August 1, 2025, in a press briefing held at the National Media Centre, New Delhi. Earlier in the day, the awards jury submitted its report to Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Minister of State L. Murugan at 4 PM, followed by the official announcement at 6 PM.
In a proud moment for Odisha, the Odia film Puskara, directed by Subhransu Das, has been honoured with the Best Odia Feature Film award. The film stars Sabyasachi Mishra and Supriya Nayak, and is based on the acclaimed 2004 Odia novel Nadabindu by Sankar Tripathy.
The prestigious awards ceremony, where the President of India will confer the honours, will be held at a later date. The National Film Awards celebrate the finest achievements in Indian cinema across languages and genres.
