Girls shine in state civil services exams

Ayushi Mohapatra topped the rankings in the OAS examinations.

 Creating a record, Pravati Jhodia, a  girl from the Jhodia community,belonging to Tikiri of Kashipur block in Rayagada district successfully cleared the examinations conducted by Odisha Public Service Commission(OPSC) for the Odisha Administrative Services(OAS).

OPSC conducted written and oral examinations for 2017 for recruitment of candidates for OAS category I and II. Interviews were held from December 3 to 12.Results were out Wednesday.

A total of 106 candidates successfully passed through the selection process among whom were 42 girls. The second and third rank also went to two girls-Sanjhita Mohapatra and Punam Mohapatra.
