Nuapada Police Bust Illegal Satta Game, 3 Arrested
Khariar police raided an illegal satta gambling operation and arrested three accused while seizing Rs 19,600 in cash along with betting materials.
Police registered the case under Khariar PS Case No. 80/09.03.2026 with sections 294, 351(2), 297, and 318(4). The arrested individuals include Giridhari Nial and Nanda Nial from Ward No. 7, and Ashok Mahaling from Ward No. 2.
During the raid, police recovered three mobile phones, one calculator, and a notebook containing multiple two-digit numbers linked to satta betting. Officers also seized ten satta chat papers used for recording bets.
Authorities confirmed that the crackdown was part of ongoing efforts to curb illegal gambling activities in Nuapada district. The investigation continues to trace other individuals involved in the satta network.
