Notorious Criminal Raja arrested, to appear before Court today

Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police will present notorious criminals Raja Sahani who escaped from Chaudwar Jail in Cuttack six months ago and was apprehended and brought to Bhubaneswar yesterday.
The police brought Raja to Bhubaneswar on transit remand and his health test was done yesterday.

According to the police information:

– Raja was staying in a hotel in Rishikesh. After Madhukant was caught, Raja was changing his address frequently to evade police.
– Raja Sahani used to go back and forth in a car. That car was on the police scanner.
– Raja Sahani was a gangster or leader of a criminal gang.l which operates across multiple states.
– After he escaped from the Chaudhwar jail, his gang committed a major robbery in Mysore, Karnataka.
– The Raja Sahani gang robbed gold ornaments worth more than 20 crores from a jewelry shop in Mysore.
– The police of several states including Karnataka, Bihar, Odisha were after Raja.
– The technical team helped a lot in catching Raja.
– The Cuttack Commissionerate Police team camped in various places in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab and other states for months and made efforts to nab Raja.
– The Cuttack DCP took the help of Uttarakhand police during the raid.
