Notorious Criminal Arman Khan Arrested in Sambalpur
Dhanupali Police arrested Arman Khan, a notorious criminal from Kumharpada, Sambalpur, while he was dealing brown sugar near DR Park.
Acting on a tip-off, police formed a special team and nabbed Arman with 61.30 grams of brown sugar, a country-made gun, and a mobile phone. Officer Aditya Mahakud confirmed that Arman was deeply involved in narcotics and other antisocial activities.
Arman had previously been jailed for drug trafficking in October last year. After securing bail, he resumed illegal operations. Police kept him under close surveillance and tracked his movements before making the arrest.
He was known for supplying contraband across Motijharan, Sunapali, and other city areas. His criminal record includes 33 cases, ranging from drug peddling and theft to extortion, arms dealing, and attempted murder.
Dhanupali Police Station alone registered 18 cases against him, while Khetrajpur has 2, Town Station 9, Ainthapali 1, and Burla 3.
Police have launched a detailed investigation and are verifying CCTV footage from surrounding areas. Authorities are probing his network and possible links to other narcotics suppliers.
