Noted Poet Rabi Singh Dies at 89

(Pramit Pramathes) Cuttack: Noted poet Rabi Singh passed away at his Khapuria residence today. He was 89. According to sources Rabi was suffering from old-age related ailments since a past few days. He took his last breathe in the morning.

Patha Prantara Kabita, Charama Patra, Lal Pagoda ra Preta O Anya Kabita, Bhrukuti, Bidirna, Padatika, Apritikara Kabita, Bishabani, Durgama Giri, Jhada, Sarbahara and Banya were among the collections of his poetry.

He was conferred with Atibadi Jagannath Das Samman for the year 2017. He had also received Odisha Sahitya Akademi Award in 1961.
