Nisha Maharana hit by audience

Bhubaneswar: Jatra artist Nisha Maharana was hit by the irate audience for her obscene dancing late on Friday night during a Jatra show at Jatni.

According to information, chairs were thrown on the stage aiming at her during a show of Parvati Gana Natya. She was performing on the stage when people suddenly started throwing chairs on the stage.

Parvati Chotra Yatra was going on near Jatni Thana Chack. Late at night, Nisha Maharana came to the stage to perform a dance. At this time, some people got up, complaining that obscene dancing was being done.

The audience reacted by protesting against performance of obscene dance on the Jatra pandal. Reportedly, item dancer Nisha Maharna was performing a dance yesterday on the Jatra stage. She allegedly performed obscene dance when a member of the audience threw a chair on her to protest against the obscenity.

For some time, the Jatra was stopped due to such agitation. Later, after the committee members and the police solved the issue and coaxed the audience after which she was seen resuming the dance.
