Night Curfew: No Entry To Jagannath Temple After 8 PM

Puri (Reporters Today Bureau): In a view of increasing of Covid 19 cases, in order to prevent the spread of the virus Odisha government has imposed a night curfew from Saturday while the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has decided not to allow the devotees into the mandir from 8 pm.

“As the night curfew in Puri will begin from 9 pm, the devotees will not be allowed to enter the temple from 8 pm onwards. Besides, the devotees who have entered the temple before 8 pm will have to leave the premises by 8.30 pm,” SJTA Administrator (Development) Ajay Kumar Jena informed the media.

Night curfew is being imposed in all urban areas of 20 districts from 9 pm to 5 am.

However, the timing of the curfew in 10 districts, bordering Chhatisgarh, is 6 pm to 5 am.
