Naveen Patnaik Pays Tribute to Indira Gandhi on National Integration Day

Bhubaneswar: Leader of Opposition and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) Supremo Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday paid tribute to former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on her birth anniversary, observed nationwide as National Integration Day.

Patnaik, in a post on X, hailed Indira Gandhi’s decisive leadership and her enduring contribution to strengthening the nation.

“Humble tributes to India’s first woman Prime Minister, Bharat Ratna Indira Gandhi, on her birth anniversary – observed as National Integration Day. Her strong leadership, her remarkable resolve and contribution to build a strong India will always be remembered,” he wrote.

Indira Gandhi, who served as Prime Minister from 1966 to 1977 and again from 1980 until her assassination in 1984, continues to be remembered for her pivotal role in India’s political and developmental journey.
