Naveen Patnaik Mourns Death of Maharashtra Dy CM Ajit Pawar in Baramati Plane Crash

Bhubaneswar: Former Odisha Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik has expressed deep shock and sadness over the untimely death of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, who died in a plane crash near Baramati on Wednesday morning.
Reacting to the tragedy on social media, Patnaik said he was “deeply shocked and saddened” to learn about Pawar’s passing along with others on board the aircraft. He conveyed his “heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and supporters” of the late leader and added “Om Shanti” in his message.

The fatal accident occurred around 8:45 am when a chartered aircraft carrying Ajit Pawar and five others crashed while attempting to land at Baramati Airport in Maharashtra’s Pune district. Pawar, 66, along with the pilot, crew members and his aides, were killed in the crash.
Pawar was on his way to Baramati to attend a public rally ahead of the Zilla Parishad elections when the incident took place. His sudden death has sent shockwaves across Maharashtra and the nation, with senior political figures and public leaders expressing grief and paying tribute to his service.
As the investigation into the cause of the crash continues, tributes continue to pour in from all corners of the political spectrum, remembering Ajit Pawar as a seasoned leader and dedicated public servant.
