Nationwide Bank Strike Deferred After IBA–Bank Unions Reach Agreement

The proposed three-day nationwide bank strike has been deferred following an agreement between the Indian Banks’ Association (IBA) and bank employee unions.

The All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA) confirmed the development after a meeting between the IBA and the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) was held on Sunday night.

The meeting focused on the issues behind the proposed strike. Following discussions and an agreement between the two sides, the unions decided to defer the three-day protest that was scheduled to begin today.
