Nanda Kishor’s Students Got Service

Bhubaneswar (Reporters Today Bureau): Renowned Football coach Nanda Kishor Patnaik has Succumbed to Covid 19 a few days earlier but his students got an appointment in Odisha Police today.

The students who got appointed are Jharana Mallick, Runi Nayak, Satyabati Khadia, Jasoda Munda & Sumatra Xalxo.

Patnaik represented Odisha in Junior Football Championship in 1977 and 1978. He was the man behind the growth of women’s football in Odisha and shaped Indian internationals players who not only represented the national women’s football teams under various age groups but also left a mark in the national senior women’s team.

Patnaik was born on March 16, 1956, in Baripada town of Mayurbhanj district, began coaching women footballers in 1995. In 2015. He was bestowed with the Biju Patnaik Award for dedication towards the rise of women’s football in the state.
