Nabarangpur: Mystery Disease Spotted in 18 People

Nabarangpur: Panic gripped residents of Tentulikhunti and Nandahandi blocks in Nabarangpur district after an unidentified disease was reportedly spotted in 18 people.

The patients suffer from fever and rashes. The samples were collected and sent to ICMR for testing. There is no sign of scrub typhus or leptospirosis. It is suspected to be the rubella virus.

As per the latest report, the situation is normal. The health department team has brought the samples. The disease could be detected after testing the samples, said Dr Bijay Mohapatra, Director of  Health Service.
