Mysterious Death at Paradip Port: Body Found on Coal-Laden Train

Paradip: A mysterious death has triggered concern at Paradip Port after the body of an unidentified man was discovered on a coal-laden goods train.

According to sources, the train had departed from Talcher and was headed to a private company within the port area when personnel of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) spotted the body.

Police have launched a probe to ascertain the circumstances leading to the death. While initial suspicion points to possible electrocution from overhead wires, investigators are also examining the possibility of foul play. The role of coal theft gangs, known to target such consignments during transit, is being looked into as well.

The deceased has not yet been identified. Police have sent the body for post-mortem to establish the exact cause of death. Efforts are also underway to trace the man’s background and determine whether the incident is linked to coal pilferage activities in the region.
