Mumbai On Alert After Bomb Threat To Amitabh Bachchan’s Jalsa, Bombay High Court, BSE

Mumbai, Nov 6: Mumbai Police stepped up security at several high-profile locations after a threat email warned of possible bomb attacks at Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s residence Jalsa, the Bombay High Court, the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and Worli Racecourse.
The email was received by the Bombay High Court, following which police launched an investigation to trace the sender. Security agencies have been alerted and additional security measures put in place at the locations mentioned in the threat.
This is the second recent threat incident in which Bachchan’s name has surfaced. On October 22, a threat email sent to a Mumbai school reportedly mentioned the veteran actor, though authorities clarified that he had received no direct threat.
The latest incident comes amid a series of threats and security concerns involving Bollywood personalities. On October 18, shots were fired at actor Tiger Shroff’s car, an incident claimed by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Actors Tusshar Kapoor and Ayushmann Khurrana also reportedly received threats in the gang’s name earlier this week.
In connection with the latter cases, Mumbai Crime Branch arrested a 30-year-old Bengaluru-based IT engineer on Wednesday. Preliminary investigations have reportedly found no evidence linking him to the Bishnoi gang.
