Mortal remains of Prashant Satpathy consigned to flames

Balasore: The mortal remains of the Kashmir terrorist attack victim Prashant Shatpathy was consigned to the flames in Balasore district of Odisha. The last rites were performed at the graveyard of Ishani village, the native place of the deceased. Chief Minister Mohan Majhi attended the last rites among others.

Thousands of people attended the last rites of the Pahalgam terrorist attack victim Odia young man. Balasore MP Pratap Sarangi and Odisha BJP president Manmohan Samal also attended the funeral procession.

The Chief Minister has announced a financial assistance of Rs 20 lakh for the family of the deceased Prashant. Along with a government job for Prashant’s wife, the state government will also take responsibility for the education of Prashant’s son.

Strongly condemning the attack on innocent tourists, the Chief Minister said that the more we condemn the barbarity of the terrorists, the less it will be. The Chief Minister also strongly condemned the incident of killing on the basis of religion.

It is to be noted that Prashant was killed in the Pahalgam terrorist attack on Tuesday.
