Missing Woman Found Murdered in Angul District; Police Launch Probe

Bhubaneswar: The body of a woman who had been missing for the past two days was recovered on Wednesday morning from Susabhanali village under Jharabada panchayat in the Pallahara police station area of Angul district, triggering shock and tension in the locality.
The deceased has been identified as Jan Munda, a resident of Susabhanali village. According to reports, she had left home for work on Monday but did not return. Family members searched for her extensively, but her whereabouts remained unknown until villagers discovered her blood-stained body on Wednesday.

Preliminary findings suggest that the woman was brutally murdered. She was allegedly stoned to death, and her throat was found slit. A preliminary examination revealed multiple grievous injuries, including deep cuts on the neck and severe injuries to the face, clearly indicating foul play.
On receiving information, Pallahara police rushed to the spot and seized the body, which was later sent for post-mortem examination to ascertain the exact cause of death.
Police have launched a detailed investigation to identify those involved in the crime and to determine the motive behind the killing. Further details are awaited as the probe continues.
