Missing person reunited with family by State Red Cross unit

Surjit Kuamr Dhal, BHUBANESWAR, JUNE 26: Governor Prof. Ganeshi Lal Tuesday praised the role of the State Red Cross in tracing out missing persons and reuniting them with their families.
Such an instance was enacted today at the Raj Bhawan where one Bahadur Rakhyasan of Jharkhand was reunited with his family members.
Bahadur had left his home in Jharkhand in search of work and instead of disembarking from train at Sikandarabad station, he got down at Bisakha Patnam.
Confused, he lost his mental equilibrium and landed in a hospital there with the help of police.
When the information about this missing person reached Major Kalpana Das, secretary of the State Red Cross unit, she traced out Bahadur’s family in Jharkhand through Laxman Swain and Sanaya Patra, two volunteers.
Today Bahadur and his family members met the Governor at the Raj Bhawan where he was given financial assistance and and other help.
Prof. Lal wished them happy life.
