Missing Man Found Dead in Subarnapur, Four Detained

Subarnapur: The body of Prakash Mohanty, a resident of Gulapada village who had been missing since December 18, was recovered on Sunday from a field near Ganeshpur village under the jurisdiction of Binka police station.

Following the recovery, police detained four persons in connection with the case for questioning.

According to sources, Mohanty went missing after leaving home with a few individuals. When he failed to return, his family launched a search but could not trace him. Subsequently, his wife, Banita Mohanty, lodged a complaint at the local police station, expressing concern over his disappearance.

Based on the complaint, police initiated an investigation and questioned several suspects. During interrogation, certain details regarding the circumstances leading to Mohanty’s death reportedly came to light.

The body has been recovered and sent for post-mortem examination, and police said further investigation is underway to ascertain the exact cause of death and establish responsibility in the case.
