Miscreants fire 25-round at residence of Binika Block Chairman

Binika: Miscreants allegedly fired 25 rounds of bullet at the house of Block Binika Block Chairman Diptirekha Nanda on late Friday night, creating panic in the area. The incident took place at their home in Singhijuba village, located in the Subarnapur district of Odisha.

According to reports, the gunshots struck two vehicles parked at the premises. Police have recovered empty cartridges from both inside and outside the residence.

Diptirekha Nanda’s husband Ashok Nanda, currently working as Biju Janata Dal (BJD) District Youth President, had been the former Block Chairman.

The reason behind the firing is unknown. Police is conducting investigation based on the CCTV footage collected from the nearby areas.
