Minor Attacked over Mutton Dispute at Wedding Feast in Baleshwar

A wedding feast in Baleshwar turned violent when a minor catering helper was attacked for serving chicken instead of mutton.
The incident occurred in Athantara village under the Remuna police limits.
The boy, engaged in serving food at the wedding of Pranabandu Panda’s family, mistakenly handed chicken to a guest who had asked for mutton. The error sparked a quarrel that escalated outside the venue. A group of minors assaulted the catering boy, leaving him injured. He was first taken to Remuna and later shifted to SCB Medical College in Cuttack for treatment.
Witnesses revealed attempts were made to suppress the matter, but the catering owner lodged a complaint at the Remuna police station. Police registered case number 136/26 and arrested four juveniles. Authorities sent them to the juvenile correction home in Angul.
