Man kills mother over family dispute in Sundargarh

Sundargarh: In a shocking incident, a man killed his mother over some family dispute in Bandhapali village under Hemagiri police limits in Sundagarh district on Saturday night.

According to sources, the man killed his mother over some altercation due a previous dispute in the family.

The accused has been identified as Balindra Dharua. He fled the scene after killing his mother with a sharp weapon.

The two had a brawl over some matter after which in a fit of rage the man killed his mother by attacking her with a sharp weapon.

She fell to the ground after getting hit. Her son got worried and overcome by guilt of what he had just done rushed her to the Hemagiri Community Health Centre (CHC).

On checking her condition, the doctors declared her dead.

On the other hand, finding an opportunity he fled from the CHC as the hospital authorities informed the police. Before the police could come he ran from the CHC.

Police sent the body for post mortem and at the same time started an investigation into the matter.
