Man duped of Rs. 42 lakhs on the pretext of false promise of job

Cuttack: A shocking Rs. 42 lakh fraud case has been uncovered in the jurisdiction of the Bhadreswar police station in the Cuttack district. Santosh Sahu, a resident of Gobindpur village, allegedly have been duped the huge amount under the pretense that he could get job at airport.
The fraudster has been identified as Soumya Ranjan Nayak of Kanpur village in the jurisdiction of the Bhadreswar police station. Reportedly, Soumya showed Santosh fake joining letters and ID cards to gain his trust and promised him to get a job for him. Trusting his words, Santosh sent the money to Soumya through PhonePe. However, when Santosh became aware that the documents were fake and asked for his money back, Soumya threatened serious consequences against the victim.
later Santosh lodged a complaint in the Bhadreswar police station. The police have opened an inquiry based on his complaint.
