Man Dies After Car Plunges Into Canal in Subarnapur

Bhubaneswar: A man lost his life after his car plunged into a canal near Sahajbahal village under Rampur police station limits in Subarnapur district.

The accident occurred when a Maruti Swift Dzire lost control and veered off the road before falling into the canal. The driver, identified as Rohi Da Singh of Mayurbhanj, was the lone occupant of the vehicle and became trapped as the car submerged.

Locals alerted the Rampur Fire Services, who launched a rescue operation. Singh was pulled out in critical condition and shifted to the Dunguripali Community Health Centre, where doctors declared him dead.

The Rampur police have registered a case and begun an investigation to ascertain the cause of the accident. The incident has left the local community in shock.
