Man attacked for refusing to offer lift in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident, a man attacked a passers-by after he refused to offer lift on his vehicle on Sunderpada road under the Airfield police limits here on Thursday.

According to sources, the accused, identified as Biku Bhoi alias Dhola, sought lift from a man around 2pm during the day on Thursday. However, he refused to offer him lift as his vehicle was having some issues. Infuriated for being refused a lift on the vehicle, Dhola attacked the man while he was repairing his vehicle.

Dhola reportedly attacked the man with a knife and cut his hand and legs with the sharp knife.

The man registered a complaint against Dhola in poilice station. Acting on the complaint, the police arrested Dhola, who reportedly had a history of being involved in  nearly eight criminal cases.
