Mahanadi Tragedy: All 3 Bodies Recovered

Cuttack (Reporters Today Bureau): Rescue team today recovered third body who drowned along with his two friends while taking bath in the Mananadi near Jobra barrage on Sunday. The deceased youth has been identified as Md. Saddique, aged about 17 years. His body was recovered near Gurudwar.

Earlier, ODRAF and fire services personnel had recovered two bodies from the river. According to reports, three friends were swept away in the Mahanadi due to strong water current while taking bath near Jobra barrage on Sunday.

Locals had rescued one of the friends identified as Sheikh Sahil (17), a resident of Charigharia Sahi under Malgodown area. They rushed him to the SCB Medical College and Hospital, where he succumbed under treatment. On Monday, body of another youth identified as Ayur Khan (18) was found from the river.
