Low pressure formed in Bay of Bengal

Bhubaneswar: A low pressure has formed in the Bay of Bengal (BoB) at about 8.30 am today under the influence of a cyclone. The low pressure area is located in the west-central adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal, north Andhra Pradesh and south Odisha coasts. There is a possibility of rain at various places under its influence in Odisha.

As per the weather bulletin the adjacent upper air cyclonic circulation has extended southwards with a cyclonic circulation up to a height of 5.8 km above the sea level. It is likely to move west-northwestwards through south Odisha and adjoining north Andhra Pradesh and south Chhattisgarh in the next 2 days.

Similarly, the regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar has issued a yellow warning for Nabarangpur and Nuapada districts for September 14. Accordingly, rain and thundershowers and gusty winds (30-40 km per hour) are likely at one or two places in these two districts.
