Low Pressure develops into depression

Bhubaneswar: The low pressure has developed into a depression. The low pressure that developed over the Bay of Bengal intensified into a well-marked low pressure and later turned into a depression.
The depression will advance through the Northern Andhra pradesh and Southern Odisha. Thus the eastern state of Odisha will brace heavy to very heavy rain rainfall, predicted the MeT Department.
Thus low pressure rain warnings have been issued for 7 districts today. The districts are Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Koraput, Malkangiri, Balangir and Rayagada.
On the other hand, the effect of rainfall is likely to gradually decrease in other parts of the state. Another low pressure area is likely to develop around August 23-24 and more rain is expected. The fishermen have been asked not to go for fishing into the sea as it is turbulent.
- YELLOW WARNING: Heavy rainfall and thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Koraput, Malkangiri, Balangir and Rayagada .
